    Wonderful pub tucked away off of Kensington Road. Simple decor and great menu. Small but delicious. Wasn’t overcrowded and we had a lot of space. Probably 30 seats inside, maybe 8 at the bar and room for 15 outside. They have 4 Half Hitch beers on tap and 4 fruit draft things (not sure- cider?) and a pizza menu. We had the spicy Hawaiian and it was delicious. Almost too much for 2 to eat! will go back. 10/10

    Four of us went and had their caesar salad and two pizzas. The croutons in the salad is made with their own dough, I was not a fan because of the soft, doughy texture but that's just me. We ordered 2 pizzas but with 4 flavors. They can do halves if the base is the same. We had the dill pickle and bacon, wild mushroom, all meat and 4 cheese. They were delicious. Who would have thought of dill pickle and bacon.

    The Mash is a unique pizza place, and what makes them different is the material they use to make the dough. It is made from "up cycled" spent grain, used in the brewing process at the Half Hitched Brewery in nearby Cochrane. In this symbiotic commercial relationship, The Mash also sells beer from Half Hitched Brewery and it is a good combination. The pizza crust is crunchy, the toppings are generous and sometimes unique as well e.g. dill pickles and bacon pizza. The service is friendly and efficient, the tables are rustic, some are recycled cable spools, the sofa / mini lounge sofas are showing some mileage, but overall, the basics and the essentials, read pizza, beer, location and service, are on target. The mushroom, veggie, meat, and dill pickle and bacon pizzas are all worth a try. Worth revisiting!

    A Fantastic Dining Experience at The Mash! From the moment I stepped into The Mash, I knew I was in for a treat. The atmosphere is warm, inviting, and effortlessly stylish, making it the perfect spot for any occasion. But what truly set this experience apart were the incredible staff members, Rae and Ashley. Rae greeted us with a smile that instantly made us feel welcome, guiding us through the menu with expert knowledge and enthusiasm. Her recommendations were spot-on, and she took the time to explain the intricacies of each dish, making the meal all the more enjoyable. Ashley, our server, was equally exceptional. Attentive, personable, and always checking in to ensure our experience was perfect, she made us feel like VIPs throughout the entire meal. Her friendly yet professional demeanor truly added to the dining experience. The food? Simply outstanding! Every dish was a masterpiece, bursting with flavor and creativity. Whether you're here for a casual bite or a special celebration, The Mash offers something for everyone. Thanks to Rae, Ashley, and the entire team for making this visit memorable. I can't wait to return and experience more of what The Mash has to offer!

    Fantastic Pizza!! Spent the evening eating some wonderful food for my first visit! Heard nothing but great things about this chain and it definitely did not disappoint. Tried the boneless chicken wings (salt & pepper), they were cooked perfectly and paired great with the side ranch! Also got the Pepperoni Mushroom pizza and the Pepperoni Bacon pizza. Both were delicious, the crust/dough is out of this world, so soft and fluffy! I can't wait to come back and try another pizza flavour and possibly the craft beers they offer as well!

    Absolutely phenomenal Dill Pickle & Bacon Pizza!! By far one of my most favourite pizzas ever! I highly recommend it!! I always enjoy this treat when I can get. I'd recommend if could to do different sizes but other than that do not change the pizza at all!

    "An outstanding experience at The MASH on 1126 Kensington Rd NW in Calgary From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with warmth and received impeccable service throughout by Ashley. The selection of beers from Half Hitch Brewery was impressive, and the pizza was simply delicious. The music added a fantastic vibe to the atmosphere and they have board and card games to play. Don't miss out on the opportunity to take home a growler, with new ones starting at 20 and refills from 14. Highly recommend trying the classic Hawaiian pizza paired with the Shotgun Wedding beer. Can't wait to return!"

    This is like one of those Greek style pizzas but the toppings under the cheese actually stays in place and doesn't slide everywhere. Nicely fried crust. A 10 inch pizza could feed about 1.5 people.
